February 23, 2006 - 3DScanCo Becomes Official Reseller For Handyscan 3D

3DScanCo has partnered with Handyscan3D to become a reseller of their flagship product, the Handyscan3D. They will service the 9-state area of the southeast United States. January 17, 2006 - 3DScanCo To Exhibit At Miami IBEX Boat Show

3DScanCo will be performing a presentation on "The Applicability of 3D Scanning Technology on Boat Building" at the Miami IBEX boat show, to be held on February 18th at 3pm.

3DScanCo gave a presentation at the latest IEEE meeting in Macon, Georgia. The IEEE (Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, Inc.) is the world's leading professional association for the advancement of technology.

August 8, 2005 - 3DScanCo Continues Innovation Of 3D Scanning Technologies

November 26, 2004 - 3DScanCo Performs Work For U.S. Department Of Energy

3DScanCo was selected to inspect the patterns and casting for the US Department of Energy's stellarator fusion power project. The Department of Energy is working with the Princeton Plasma Physics Lab to create a sustainable fusion reaction.

September 30, 2004 - 3DScanCo Debuts Konica Minolta VIVID 9i Scanner

3DScanCo is the first to debut the new VIVID 9i 3D scanner from Konica Minolta. This exciting new 3D scanning system is the first of its kind, combining a traditional laser stripe scanner with a system called photogrammetry. It is the first system that can scan objects as big as entire cars while holding tolerances as small as 50 microns, all for under $100,000.

May 20, 2004 - The Birth Of 3DScanCo

Slingshot 3D Scanning is acquired in a management buyout and reborn as 3DScanCo. The acquisition includes all assets, portfolio, and customer list of the 3D scanning division of Slingshot Product Development Group.

March 26, 2003 - Slingshit 3D Scanning Contracted By Lockheed Martin

Slingshot 3D Scanning (now a property of 3DScanCo) was awarded a contract by Lockheed Martin to develop a manufacturing system that aids in the production of aircraft. The equipment uses 3D scanning technology to position skin panels for hole- drilling and riveting. Lockheed engineers estimate that it cuts the process down by as much as 50%!

November 14, 2002 - Slingshot 3D Scanning Contracted By NASA

Slingshot 3D Scanning (now a property of 3DScanCo) was selected from a group of worldwide vendors to help develop a custom 3D scanning solution for NASA's Space Shuttle. The automated system helps analyze damaged components for applications such as tile replacement, accident reconstruction, flightworthiness, maintenance and repairs, and feedback in the design process.
