Metris CMM Scanners
Metris XC50 Cross Scanner
The XC50 Cross Scanner is a revolutionary new solution for feature measurement. The
Cross Scanner is a patented high-speed, multi-stripe laser sensor that enables more
efficient scanning of features such as holes, slots and gap & step that are typically
inspected in automotive applications. The XC50 Cross Scanner features macro-based
automatic scanning technology, making it ideal for repetitive tasks such as inspecting
sheet metal and other first article inspection applications.
The XC50 Cross Scanner is a highly accuracy CMM scanner ideal for automated inspection of intricate details in the automotive industry. You will see the most benefit with the XC50 Cross Scanner if your projects involve:
- Feature inspection
- Gap and flush
- Hard-to-scan areas such as slots and holes
Metris XC50-LS Cross Scanner
The XC50-LS Cross Scanner is a scanning system with long stand-off distance for CMM-based
feature inspection and reverse engineering applications. The patented cross scanner
technology combines three laser stripes into a single sensor, enabling efficient scanning
of features such as holes and slots without having to re-orientate the sensor. With its
180 mm stand-off distance the XC50-LS Cross Scanner enables scanning into deep pockets and
over clamps. Furthermore, while scanning regular surfaces, the XC50-LS Cross Scanner can
work in single stripe mode as such measuring as a standard LC50 laser scanner.
The XC50-LS Cross Scanner is designed to be a high quality CMM scanner for accurately scanning tight areas such as bolt holes, slots, and gaps. You will see the most benefit with the XC50-LS Cross Scanner if your projects involve:
- Hard-to-scan areas such as slots and holes
- Quality inspection
- Accurately scanning detailed features
Metris LC50 Laser Probe
The LC50 3D laser probe is a high speed CMM scanner capable of scanning up to 19,200
points per second. The Metris LC50 laser probe is mounted on a Renishaw PH10M and
transforming the 3-axis mechanical CMM into a 5 axis optical digitizing device. Its
speed and accuracy make give it the power to quickly scan sheet metal parts, castings,
turbine blades, and other high detail objects for inspection and reverse engineering
purposes. The non-contact CMM scanning technology allows it to accurately scan flexible
or fragile parts without risk of damage.
The LC50 CMM scanner provides high-speed, high-quality, automated scanning of detailed objects for use in many inspection and reverse engineering applications. You will see the most benefit with the LC50 if your projects involve:
- Intricate details
- Quality inspection
- First article inspection
Metris LC15 Laser Probe
The LC15 is suited for inspection and reverse engineering workflows with a specific
need for obtaining the highest accuracy or detail. A few examples are scanning of leading
and trailing edges of turbine blades or scanning snap features of mobile phones. The
non-contact nature of laser scanning makes it also perfectly suitable to measure soft or
delicate surfaces such as foam, rubber or clay. Due to the smaller field of view, the
LC15 guarantees you the accuracy and point density needed for small and detailed parts
with tight tolerances.
The LC15 is designed to scan with the highest accuracy without compromising on speed making it perfectly suited for mobile phones, small turbine blades, and other precision components. You will see the most benefit with the LC15 if your projects involve:
- Quality inspection and reverse engineering of small features
- Rapid scanning time
- Automated scanning processes
